Derick Baza Hills grew up in the Southern village of Agat. He is a devoted person to the cause of Equal Rights, Human Rights, Gay Rights advocacy, and Anti-Bullying prevention. Serving in his 3rd term, 5th year, as a representative of Agat to the Guam Youth Congress. He is Youth of the Year 2011, nominated by Sanctuary Inc., for being a youth advocate and role model in the community and was nominated the Aspiring LGBT youth of the year, by Guam's Alternative Lifestyle Association, in 2010. He is an unsuccessul candidate for Agat vice Mayor in 2010, but has received more votes than any candidate at the age of 22 in the history of Guam. He continues his determination, commitment and leadership by advocating for youth integration and development in Guam's public high schools.
